Scarf: FO (Finished Object) Number One

Two years ago, I bought this Laines du Nord merino wool to make a scarf for Pierre. It was supposed to be a present for our first Christmas. I never finished it. Now because of this knitting class I'm taking, I've been whipped up in a knitting frenzy, and I ripped (or "frogged" in knitting lingo) the scarf so I could start anew and make this.

It's a pretty basic scarf from the Stitch 'N Bitch book--2x2 ribbing--but it looks quite nice. It's hard to tell in these photos, but the yarn is a lovely dark, dark green, not black. (I'm still playing around with this new camera, so you have to excuse the overexposed photos for now.) Pierre modeled it for me, and it's quite dignified on him. I might actually make one for myself in a girlier color.
